Recruitment Trends in Asia

Recruitment Trends in Asia

It is evident that different cultures have different characteristics and recruitment process is no exception. There are many tactics, practices and strategies which are universal, while there are lot others which might be different. We bring to you the differences between Romanian practise of recruitment compared to Asian practises.
For a start, the recruitment process in Romania is much more developed, especially when it comes to the financial field, because we have a better defined market. Romanian employers make a lot of use of the external recruitment process, what does this consist of? Recruitment agencies specialized in finding the right staff that greatly facilitates the work of employers and helps them save valuable time that can be used to advance the company on the Romanian market.
This trend of using the external recruitment process is also beginning to be adopted by large Asian companies. The role of the consulting firm is to bring a capable and qualified team of workers to the client's office who is responsible for hiring them.
Cultural differences are also observed in the case of organizing the job interview, as well as in the case of the questions in the interview. In Romania, employers tend to refrain from asking certain questions related to the personal life of the candidate, questions that would be considered too inappropriate, indiscreet and inappropriate. However, in most Asian countries the questions may be more direct without affecting the attitude or personality of the future employee. A good example is the fact that the interviewer can ask about married life, how many members there are in the candidate's family, but also about how he spends his free time after finishing the work schedule. In North and Southeast Asia, employers also tend not to focus on the candidate's demeanor, expressiveness.
Another thing worth mentioning is that Asian employers tend to form relationships with academic institutions so that they can always recruit the most competent staff. They also train their employees to become globally trained through language courses and on-the-job qualifications.
